Papaya has got to be my dad’s favourite fruit. I grew up smelling it almost everyday but I never quite got the taste of it. Now years later, I am now giving it to my dogs.

Papaya, according to Dr Lye of Animal Recovery Centre, has every mineral we need and it’s the best food to give!

Papaya is full of vitamins! it’s got A, E, K, and C. Folate. Potassium. Magnesium. And of course fibre. It also contains the digestive enzyme papain which helps with allergies and lowering inflammation.

Living in Singapore, papaya is always available from Malaysia. It’s easy to cut. Unlike watermelons, papayas have thin skins that you can simply cut with a normal knife, not a cleaver. The inside is buttery-soft and you just need to scoop out the seeds. It’s so easy to prepare and the best thing? The dogs LOVE love love papaya.
